There’s something about early November that screams Holidays, and with the world of Instagram, everyone feels the pressure to jump right into it. Trust me, I am just as tempted when I see beautiful inspiration, but then I remember that it is still Fall and we have Thanksgiving to enjoy! Half of me is ready, half is not.
So, I’ve figured out how to ease out of Halloween, to Harvest and into Holiday so that come December 1st, you’ve made the most of your decor with an easy transition. See my tips below & items to shop!
1. Edit Natural Elements
The first and easy step is to remove all spooky creatures, skulls, birds, and pumpkins. Keep/add subtle, abstract gourds that reflect Thanksgiving & Christmas.
2. Swap Wreaths
Switch to a neutral wreath that you can add more festive items onto later if needed. To really save, purchase a simple holiday wreath with subtle accents that can function for both!
3. Keep or Incorporate Gold/Brass Tones
Gold/brass tones are a simple staple for all seasons and can have more of an impact depending on the amount used. Sprinkling in these accessories based on type can carry you through.
4. Mix in a Variety of Wood Tones
A variety of wood tones can bring in all the winter feels. Birch logs are a great way to instantly do so!
5. Bring in Deeper Warm + Cool Tones
There are a ton of color palettes that you can utilize for your home, but bringing in deeper tones of every color give a holiday feel – like deep greens, reds, blues paired with textured neutral knits.
