Hi! I write you last minute, with very sleepy eyes – sleepy, yet so grateful. I have stepped into a better balance of my work and personal life and it has made a huge difference. If you are new here, I left my corporate job in November to take my design business and this blog full time, to which I had lined up a ton of work to feel secure in the decision back in October. While I am incredibly blown away by how busy I am, there were a lot of very late nights to keep up with the deadlines! It now feels great to have a flexible schedule but I am really trying to stick to the 9-5, which as we all know is harder than it looks! I have so many practices and structures in place to be able to serve clients in a timely manner, while prioritizing myself as a sole business owner and operator. I’ll stop there but am happy to chat about it all at any time! My point in bringing all of this up is to once again remind you to really look at how you are spending your days – often we get caught in a hole and before we know it, we are still there a year or more later. You are the only one that can make the change for yourself!
As for our home, we made a lot of planning progress on where our renovation projects stand and I hope to be able to share an overall update in a few weeks! I don’t ever want to excite you all until we know for sure what is happening. We’ll have other small updates such as the deck, room styling and more in-between…and of course all of the tips and finds along the way! Stay tuned – I can promise it is going to be good!
