I often come to write these posts in a bit of shock from how quickly time has passed. I’ve read here and there that its due to the routines we set as we become adults, particularly working adults, where our days look the same due to regimen. Our sense of time changes compared to adolescence. This, paired with being two months into motherhood, has really had me thinking lately about how I spend my time. Ironically, I’ve been on social media less and focused on stepping back to form connections and feel free by simply getting outside. Maternity leave may be making that a little easier, but I already feel like I was wasting so much time before, which is wild coming from someone who has a full-time job and their own business! I share all of this to say that going into Summer, it’s worth taking a few minutes to figure out what is serving you and what may not be to best maximize your days – whether the goal is to do more, or less.
On that note, on the home front, we are focusing on doing less for a bit. While I’d love to pump out content for you, it is important to be realistic. Rushing to complete a home can be a misstep and we want to really think about the use of each space before investing in them. We recently sat down to discuss our dreams for this home and are going to be prioritizing again based on that. I highly recommend having regular conversations or meetings on this front! With that, I’ll be sharing an updated projects list soon so you know what is to come.
