Writing you on a sunny Friday (yes, I am well ahead of this post going live – love that for me) where I finally feel like I am somewhat getting it together in terms of balance. Hopefully, I didn’t just jinx myself. But, I share to let you know that you can craft your idea of balance and do not have to fall into the common theme of not balancing or not having it all. I think you can have it all if you learn to bucket your days and blocks of the days, to rid guilt of other facets while within that one. I know this is high level, but this idea has really let me relax and realize it’s all going to be fine! That email can wait 18 hours. That client will be just as happy getting the deliverable on the expected day, not the day before. You can work hard for 4 hours and completely shut off after 5 to tend to your family life. Again, all of this sounds so obvious, but yet, we don’t do it. Here’s your license to do so! Anyway, I just like to get a little more personal on the blog and give you insight to where my head is at given how many things I juggle. It isn’t always perfect, but it is getting to be in a much better place and I am so proud of the reflection and systems I have put in place to be here!
As for our home, we made a lot of planning progress on where our renovation projects stand and I hope to be able to share an overall update in a month or so! I don’t ever want to excite you all until we know for sure what is happening. We’ll have other small updates such as the deck, room styling and more in-between…and of course all of the tips and finds along the way! Stay tuned – I can promise it is going to be good!
