All commissions earned from this post will be donated to National Bailout, a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists that are galvanizing funds to get people out of jails, prisons, and detention centers that many fear will become epicenters of COVID. They coordinate the Mama’s Day Bail Outs, where they bail out as many Black Mamas and caregivers as they can so they can spend Mother’s Day with their families where they belong. The National Bail Out Collective also provides fellowship and employment opportunities for those bailed out in order to support their growth and create a national community of leaders who have experienced incarceration.
