Save time and money, PLUS get a fuller look with this hack!
This city gone county girl is getting her feet wet in the gardening world and stumbled into grabbing hanging baskets for an effortless, FULL look. Save time and money instead of buying a bunch of little blooms and sweating over how many you need to fill your pot! This was all done in 30 min for 5 planters.
9 Simple Steps:
-
Purchase pot planters (shop mine and similar options at the end of post).
-
Find hanging baskets or potted larger plants that fit the aspect ratio / dimensions of your planter. You want it to fill a little more than half, or at least half of the height of your planter.
-
Remove plant from the plastic container basket.
-
Line planters with a non scented trash bag to contain soil.
-
Flip basket container upside down to save soil use AND weight of the overall planter.
-
Leave room for enough planting soil above the container, so that the roots have soil to dig into.
-
Pull roots to loosen in the soil and plant!
-
Tuck in trash bag.
-
Top with top soil to allow for proper growth.
