Our Home Tour: Part 2!
Our Master Bath
Hi friends, and new visitors! In our last post, we mentioned that we wanted to kick off our blog by giving a home tour – perfectly finished, or not! If you missed our first space of the tour, head on over to see Our Bedroom.
The natural light, exposed brick, and wood beams make their way over into our bath, as the ceilings are exposed – a detail that we loved when we moved in. We knew that with a little paint, (ok, a lot, wait til you see the before color) and by freeing up some space through a little DIY demolition, we could check this one off our list of projects!

We really wanted to brighten this space up and take full advantage of the natural light, while also bringing in some color. We landed on a light mint, Behr “At Ease” and couldn’t be happier!
Operation Storage
As anyone who lives in Baltimore knows, storage is hard to come by and anyway you can create a space to hide things is a win! We decided to ditch the sink and install this amazing vanity without breaking the bank! We scooped it up from Lowe’s for under $200 and it has held up perfectly. A similar gray option, here. We purchased hardware to match our next purchase, the Wall Cabinet – but have yet to install them ha! Both of these have been essential pieces for not only storing all of our essentials but speeding up our morning+evening routines.
We also knocked out a REALLY old, wide cabinet that was on the other side of the door, allowing the door to open about 70% of the way. This was huge for us (and super fun for G to rip out of the wall and pretend he is Chip). We were able to find the perfect Broyhill piece from HomeGoods to free up some space without taking away storage.
Odds and Ends
There are so many details that make this space – from the skylights to our amazing original clawfoot tub that makes each day just a little easier to get up, and be productive! Take a look around, and feel free to reach out to us! Interested in any of the items in our bathroom? Shop this post at the end of the tour below!
Probably one of our favorite amazon purchases (no joke) is this Ailun motion-activated toilet night light. We no longer have to deal with finding the light switch, covering our eyes and getting fully woken up by one another in the middle of the night. It has so many fun colors to choose from, and you won’t believe the price! A MUST have!

Where did you find a shower curtain large enough for your claw foot tub?? We move into our 1917 fixer upper this week with the original claw foot tub as well! Love your home style!

BrittanyHi there Brittany!
Apologies for the delay in response. Great question! We hacked it and bought two – one for each side of the tub and have the opening on the sides so that it is hidden. I hope this helps and would love to see how your home is coming along, feel free to tag us on IG @ourcitynest 🙂
