Home Office Design: Progress Update
After two months of teasing, it is finally here! I really wanted to get to a point of near completion before sharing so that you’d get the full picture! I began working remotely in September and because I am a brand + web designer, I need my own space to post up for 8 hours straight & get in the creative mindset. Previously, this second room in our loft was used as G’s deskspace (yes, he WFH too) and closet area. He graciously gave up the deskspace & moved his office to his man cave, something he had planned to do down the line anyway.
I knew I wanted to make this space feminine, and to push myself with color as nearly everything in our home is neutral and muted. You’re probably laughing because it is still muted, but the tie ins and touches of pink mixed with the many wood tones & bronze finishes brought the entire space together. Over the next few months, we’ll be adding a dresser & tv and finishing off styling – something I never like to rush.

You can shop nearly every item in this post by scrolling through the thumbnails below each image or viewing the gallery at the end of the post. Lastly, let me know in the comments what you would do to finish up the room!

I don’t even know where to begin, but this desk is an absolute dream! It is so high quality for the price and the detail is impeccable. It has so many wood tones and is lighter than photographed (exact same wood as our nightstands in our Bedroom. As I was weighing which desk to get (I’ve included each that I considered below) I knew that ultimately the drawers would be a game changer. It’s been so nice to store my notebooks, cords, paperwork, etc. without seeing it & feeling cluttered!
This chair is one that I landed on after return three (yes, 3) other chairs. It is so comfy, looks beautiful with my new wall color & wood tones in the desk. I sit in it for over 8 hours and it is no lie almost more comfortable than my couch!

I have been eyeing these art shelves for over a year, trying to think of where to put them. Once I picked out my desk, these were an instant winner. The quality is amazing and you can pick so many from so many different colors & size options. They are so functional for any space as they allow you to easily switch up your decor over time & seasonally! I cannot wait to finish styling them. Let me know if you have ideas 🙂

This corner turned out to be one of my favorite parts of our home. Starting out, I had no clue what to do with that corner but loved the natural light that peeks through. It clicked to have a cozy corner to snuggle up with Hudson and go through emails or work on the blog. This chaise doesn’t break the bank & is so comfy! I really wanted to use the coral hue to tie parts of the room together and had so much fun mixing grays & beiges – who would’ve thought!

Yes, this is the infamous faux fiddle leaf fig going around IG, and for good reason! It is finally back in stock, so we snagged another one for my office. It instantly brings a happy feeling and sense of completeness to every room we have it in! Drop it in a basket & pick up some filler and you are set!

The shelving is something I will always play with, but for now use it to conveniently store my home workout equipment & essential oils. Hats are always so difficult to store, and too pretty to hide, so they were a no brainer to help feminize the space.

Last but not least, we must discuss this rug! If you have been following us, you know we have the runner in our kitchen. If you are looking for a vintage wool rug but don’t want to spend the money, this is your answer! It is so stunning and the warm tones make the room. It truly set the color palette for the room and is one that allowed for all the mixing of textures!
