Home Office for Him – Reveal

March 13, 2024

If you are new here, you may not know that yes, both Greg and I work from home – pre 2020! So, when looking for a home it was important to have space for the both of us and we are so excited to finally reveal his home office. Browse each area, get all the details and shop each piece that is available at the end of the post!

Paint

As you step into the space, the first thing that catches your eye is the rich, dark green paint adorning the walls. This bold choice sets the tone for the entire space, exuding a sense of sophistication and ease to spark focus and motivation. The color not only adds depth to the room but also serves as an excellent backdrop for his curated collection of art and golf memorabilia that was his #1 request to incorporate! Yes, ladies, we can give our men what they want while being refined 😉 For each selection, I gave him a few options that I would be ok with him selecting to be sure that the space came together cohesively.

The wall paint color is: Backwoods by Benjamin Moore / Ceiling and Trim is Pure White by Sherwin Williams.

Curtain Panels

These floor-length windowpane curtains not only allow ample natural light to flood the room but also add a touch of timeless elegance. The curtains are:

TWOPAGES Stefana Silber x 100 Inches Wide Pinch Pleat Curtain, Plain Pattern White Beige, Linen Curtain Panel Drape, Unlined Privacy Drapery, 100 W x 102 L Inch, 1 Panel Windowpane and you can get 8-15% off with code MEGLEONARD

Complementing these curtains are affordable woven Roman shades sourced from Amazon, which provide privacy and a subtle texture to the windows. The curtain rods are so affordable and the perfect subtle detail.

Console

In terms of functionality, Greg’s home office is equipped with a sleek storage console, offering ample space to keep essentials organized and within reach. The console seamlessly integrates with the overall design aesthetic, featuring dark wood accents that echo the tones of the desk and other furniture pieces in the room.

Desk Setup

Speaking of furniture, Greg’s choice of a dark wood desk and a leather desk chair adds a touch of sophistication to the space. The desk provides ample surface area for work and is paired with a comfortable chair that ensures long hours spent at the desk are both productive and ergonomic.

Gallery Frames

What truly sets the space apart is the carefully curated gallery wall that showcases his personal collection of art and golf memorabilia. Each piece tells a story, and he wants all of the fellow golfers to know that these are all places he has personally played (he does not want to be that guy ha). From vintage postcards, to match boxes of his favorite places in life, to hole flags and his favorite musician, all of the layers of color and mix of frame material come together for a lived-in look. You can shop all of the Target Home frames here.

Overall, Greg’s home office exudes a modern vintage vibe with collected, elevated style. It’s a space where he can feel motivated and inspired to tackle each day’s work with enthusiasm. Whether he’s diving into a new project or simply enjoying a moment of quiet reflection, his home office provides the perfect environment to thrive.

Rug

The rug was carefully chosen to be a neutral vase with practicality – it is easy to clean and glide across, and has held up well in the few months we have had it. The wool may shed, as a heads up! You can shop it directly here.

Overall, as you approach any space really, consider incorporating the items you have collected and think about how you can turn them into art.

I sourced all of the vintage matches from these shops:

Hi! Any tips for framing golf flags? Looking to take on the same project and wondering if standard frames worked easily or if you would recommend getting them framed professionally? Thanks for your help!

Hi! I just put them over the mat in the frame, ha. Since they are thick enough, the backing holds it down enough to not move. This way, the flags can be taken out and no damage or marks.

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing. This is incredible – so elevated but personal. I am figuring out a layout for a home office and I was wondering if your husband likes the window treatment set up with the computer in facing the window? Thanks!

Yes, he specifically wanted to face a window and get some sun! Also loved that he had a great background for video calls.
