Huey and I took a quick ‘daycation’ to pay a visit to The Residences at Monarch, a Bozzuto property located in Gambrills, MD! On our visit, we explored the beautiful interior design of the property to see everything they have to offer residents and their furry friends!
Monarch’s focus on simplified living Between DC and Baltimore provides a fantastic place to live. The lines between inside and outside, communal and cozy, “must-have” and “wow-now-I-need-to-have” effortlessly blur. We loved every design detail, from the wide-open community spaces and intimate entertaining nooks, to amazing amenities like an expansive sundeck and resort-style pool.
Located halfway between Baltimore and Washington, DC and only minutes from Annapolis, the community is like a private sanctuary situated in the beautiful and lush Anne Arundel County, steps from Waugh Chapel Towne Centre where you can visit retailers like Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Wegman’s – you’ve got it all!
I snapped some photos of our visit to show you Monarch’s unique design features, and how the design reflects the inspiration of the monarch butterfly, all while making you feel right at home! If you own your home, I hope this provides you with great inspiration. Monarch is a great place for those who are looking to downsize to a community with wide open space to call home. If you’re renting, or looking to move, I highly recommend visiting their website to schedule a tour!
The open-concept lobby and lounge areas play off of warm, welcoming tones with tons of natural light to create a welcoming place for all residents. Hudson would’ve lounged here all day if I let him!
Their state of the art fitness center features unique lighting and a beautiful, motivational mural – all while incorporating details of the Monarch butterfly.
The community courtyard and pool provide a relaxing environment to enjoy some fresh air with your pet and socialize with residents.
We loved how many areas to lounge the courtyards provide to give you privacy.
Many gold accents, patterned pillows, and local-topic books can be found around the main lounge to create a beautiful, cohesive space that marries design and comfort.
I was in awe of the chandeliers and light fixtures that play off of symmetry and the shapes/forms of the Monarch butterfly.
I think we now need a solarium in our next home! Can we talk about these planters, too?
This fireplace is everything. We may have spent a little too much time photographing this area due to the level of coziness!
There are many other spaces throughout the property for entertaining, accomplishing work, and even hosting meetings.
Lastly, we stopped by their in-house Pet Spa where Hudson found some treats and toys. The spa features an easy to access shower, dryer, and a spacious area to accomplish bath time without leaving your home!
