Meg Leonard is a professional brand & web designer with over 10 years of experience, merging her passions for digital and interiors by sharing attainable, simple style for the happy home and brands that work.
My Story
Hi! I’m Meg Leonard and I’m a born and raised Marylander. My husband Greg and I met in 2015 and shortly after, I purchased our 1906 row home in Baltimore city. We got married in 2019 and have a home full of love in the form of fur – we lost our sweet Golden Retriever, Hudson to cancer in early 2021, whom you may see in photos around here. Later, we welcomed our boy Solomon (Sollie)! In 2022, we moved out of the city to our dream waterfront town, renovating our traditional colonial home to bring it back to life!
I’ve been lucky enough to develop and hone my design skills by decorating our home, with friends and family constantly complimenting and inquiring about our latest projects and style. That, combined with my passion for creativity + Greg’s love of DIY projects, drove the decision to share our home and lifestyle.
Outside of renovating and furnishing our home, I work as a brand strategist & web designer, taking my business full time at the end of 2023. When I’m not working, I’m hunting for the best deals, sharing all the tips and tricks and inspiration for you to attainably make a happy home.
My goal is to provide simple joy and inspiration to help you make your home happy! You can expect to see weekly blog posts containing design boards, decor finds, seasonal how-tos and tips, recipes, fashion, and overall lifestyle tips. BEHIND THE SCREENS
How would you describe your style?
I try not to fit within a box of a style, but to capture it today in one sentence, I’d go with:
Simple neutral-based, traditional style.
Favorite spots in Baltimore & Annapolis?
So many! Definitely Fells Point waterfront – Thames Street Oyster House, Koopers, the Horse for some fun. Best sushi – Shoyou Sushi. Dylan’s in Hampden!! In Annapolis, Sailor Oyster Bar & McGarvey’s are my go-tos.
What’s your go-to drink?
I’m a big beer drinker, any Dogfish Head IPA! Otherwise, a good freshly pressed crush. Check out my cocktails on the blog!
What’s something unexpected about you?
I absolutely love pop culture, the NFL, and music history. Between the three, I know too many random factoids and can most importantly crush a round of name that tune.
Who is your favorite musician?
Can never land on just one. In our home, you can find Mumford & Sons, St. Lucia, The Lumineers, and anything from the 80’s on repeat. Check out the playlist here!
Best advice you can offer?
Just DO! Whatever it is, put it out there. Failing is progress. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable and you’ll succeed.
