During this time, we are all home more than the usual. Whether it’s full time for weeks, or staying home on the weekend, I’ve got 7 things you can do around the home under quarantine. Enjoy!
1. Deep Clean + Purge
There’s no better time than now to go room by room and deep clean by purging old, unused, or outdated items. I wrote an entire post on how to do this painlessly here and a decluttering post here. Lastly, I wrote a closet organization specific post here.
2. Refresh a Corner or Space
It’s always a great creative exercise to take a corner of a room, or shelf, and rearrange it! Go bigger and refresh a space using decor in storage or mixing items up from different rooms. You can find a few of my help posts here:

3. Try a DIY
Instead of scrolling through Netflix for another hour, try that DIY project you’ve been thinking of. Haven’t been thinking of one? Think of a piece of decor you no longer use and what you don’t like about it. Can you use paint you have on hand to improve it?
4. Explore Your Home Style
The biggest contributor to not putting any effort into how your home looks, or becoming frustrated with it, is not understanding your home style. Take this down time to explore your style by figuring out what you like and why you like it. Same thing for what you don’t. Scroll through Pinterest and/or Instagram and just save things you like on impulse. Go back and review to identify similarities and you will instantly form your sense of style!
You can also take style quizzes that are helpful. I like this quiz, as well as this one.
5. Learn New Life Hacks
What skills are you lacking in around the home? Any paint points? Browsing the internet to learn some new life hacks doesn’t require leaving the home! I recently learned a new way to fold jeans that is a game changer (shared on my IG stories & saved to highlights for future reference). From laundry, how to properly make the bed, to cleaning and overall styling – do some exploration!
6. A Trip Down Memory Lane
Order new photo prints to switch up your frames and take your time by going down memory lane. High quality photo prints can be mailed to your door very quickly through services like Shutterfly and Walgreens. This is something that we easily push aside for another day, but goes a long way to making home yours!
7. Free Up Digital Storage
Pour a drink, put on some music, and go through your desktop, cameras, and phones to organize and remove duplicate or unnecessary files. This will make it easier to reference memories as time goes on and make the most of your devices.
