Since we are safe at home during these times, the weekends can get a little repetitive. It’s important to stay connected with our spouses and make the most of it! So, here is a wide range of ideas that Greg and I came up with for you to have a fun at-home date night! Enjoy!
1. Watch a Pre-recorded, Live Concert
When we are tired of TV, we love to throw on a pre-recorded live concert from one of our favorite bands via YouTube. Gives you something to watch and discuss, but keeps it open for conversation!
2. Do a New Workout
Try a new type of workout class together. From yoga to body pump, there are so many free videos online for all types! I love Melissa Wood Health and she offers a free trial, as well as some classes on YouTube!
3. Drunk TikTok
Yep. G and I have done this a few times and have a blast looking totally ridiculous and crack up the entire time. The videos don’t have to go anywhere, so enjoy!!
4. Cook-off Challenge
Either choose mystery ingredients for each other or work from the same recipe/ingredient to see who does it better! Think of the show, chopped. Some official rules to guide you can be found here.
5. Paint Night
Either find a tutorial on YouTube or order a fun paint by numbers or abstract art kit!
6. At-home Wine or Brew Tasting
Run out to your local store and grab new wines or brews that you haven’t had before! You can either end up doing a blind tasting by covering them and mixing them around, or not. Here are some guides on what types to get:

7. Learn a New Hobby, Together
You may already have something in mind. If not, brainstorm your common interests and see what comes of it. Some will be difficult given the store closures, but almost everything can be found on video tutorials!
8. Swap Old, Favorite Movies
This is something we love to do as a couple. We have a running list of movies that come up in conversation but can’t watch right then and there. It is so fun to think about movies I loved as a kid or teen, then discover that G hasn’t seen them! Watching them together is fun to relive the memories and make new ones by seeing their reaction.
9. Create an On-Hand Cocktail
Come up with a new cocktail with on-hand ingredients, you never know what you might love!
10. Have a TV-Free Night
We have been doing a no-tv friday to spend time catching up with family and friends, playing a game, sitting out by our fire, and just talking to one another with no distractions. If catching up with family/friends, the Houseparty app is a fun way to connect & play games together.
11. Have a Game Night
This is an obvious one, but here are some classic games perfect for 2:
Also, don’t be afraid of classic card games! Here are some to start with, as well as golf and casino that our friends love.
12. Complete a DIY / Craft Kit
Not just around the home, but try a creative outlet or silly little craft to pass the time. Here are some cool ones I found:
13. Conquer A Good Ole Classic Puzzle
Great for during a movie or show you’re binging and something to just come back to throughout the week! Here are some ones I’m loving:
